COURSE DESCRIPTION & NATIONAL EXAM
This EKG Program will allow students to obtain employment as an Electrocardiograph (EKG/ECG) Technician.
The EKG Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic tests to access the heart rhythm and rate in
patients. EKGs are also performed before and after operations, during physicals examinations of patients, for
patients with a history of heart disease, when patients are experiencing chest pains and when the ordering
Physician deem it necessary.
Student must complete 48 hours of training and pass the class with accumulative score of 75% or higher.
Students who passed the 48 hours of training will be allowed to take the National Exam.
National Exam is mandatory to graduate from this program. Students must take the National Exam
within two weeks following the last day of class.

TUITION POLICY
The program cost is the total charge to the student, which includes tuition, application fee, and course
materials fees. Total charge of the program is due and payable on the first day of the class unless other
arrangements have been made. By completing registration for a semester or session, students become
financially responsible for payment of all applicable fees by the due date(s).
Payments not received by the due date(s) are subject to collection, attorney, and litigation costs, which also
become a financial obligation of the student.
Additionally, accounts must be current to maintain enrollment eligibility and to request and receive official
school documents and services. A "returned check charge" of $25 is assessed for a check returned by the bank
for any reason. Under California Civil Code #1719, a returned check may create a liability of treble (three times)
the amount owed, but not less than $100.
