STUDENT AFFIDAVIT
COURSE DESCRIPTION & NATIONAL EXAM
AUMT Medical Assistant Program is designed to prepare a student to become a Medical Assistant with a short yet comprehensive course of study. This fast-track training prepares the student to sit for the Medical Assistant (CCMA) national certification exam offered through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) using a variety of classroom and externship training experiences.
Student must complete 200 hours of didactic training and pass the class with acumulative score of 75% or higher.
Students who passed the 200 hours of didactic training will be allowed to take the National Exam at AUMT.
Students must pay $165.00(MA)/$129.00(EKG) online at www.nhanow.com to register for the exam.
CLINICAL EXTERNSHIP TRAINING
All students are required to complete 160 hours of clinical training. Sites are determined for each student by the Externship Coordinator, and each student must attend his/her assigned site. Every effort will be made to ensure that the Externship site is within 50 miles of the school. Clinical externship is scheduled during regular weekday working hours (usually 9 am - 6 pm, M-Fri). Therefore, Evening and Saturday students should make arrangements to complete their clinical training during the day. It can take up to 1 to 4 weeks to place students in an externship.
TUITION POLICY
The program cost is the total charge to the student, which includes tuition, application fee, and course materials fees. The total charge of the program is due and payable on the first day of the class unless other arrangements have been made. By completing registration for a semester or session, students become financially responsible for payment of all applicable fees by the due date(s). Payments not received by the due date(s) are subject to collection, attorney, and litigation costs, which also become a financial obligation of the student.
Additionally, accounts must be current to maintain enrollment eligibility and to request and receive official school documents and services. A "returned check charge" of $25 is assessed for a check returned by the bank for any reason. Under California Civil Code #1719, a returned check may create a liability of treble (three times) the amount owed, but not less than $100.
JOB PLACEMENT
I understand that the AUMT Institute does not guarantee employment or provide any job placement assistance of any kind.
